Admission Process

Welcome to Admissions at Tampa Bay International School! Thank you for your interest in our program. Here you will find information regarding our application process, tuition and fees, financial aid and more. Admission priority is given first to current students, next to siblings of current students, then to new student applicants.

Below is the application process for new students:

  1. Inquire: Contact our admissions team at admissions@tampabayintl.org or 727-238-7221 to begin the admission process.

  2. Tour: We encourage all new applicants to visit our campus with your child to learn more about our school, see our facilities, and meet with members of our school community. We look forward to meeting you!

  3. Shadow Days: New applicants living in the Tampa Bay area are required to spend two days with us at school - one English day and one Spanish day. Students who will be entering kindergarten may spend two half days with us at school.

  4. Apply: Complete our online application and submit your $50 application fee to FACTS. Applications may be submitted on a rolling basis for the upcoming school year and will be evaluated following the re-enrollment period for current students.

  5. Interview: Your student will interview with our head of school, Bennett Zamoff, where we will learn more about your child’s academic readiness and ability to benefit from our program. Applicants will be asked for a reference and transcript from their current school.

  6. Acceptance: We have a limited number of new student spaces each year. Upon your acceptance to Tampa Bay International School, you will be invited to complete the Enrollment Contract and submit your deposit to secure your child’s space for the upcoming school year.

Application process for returning students:

  1. Apply: Complete our online application and submit your $50 application fee to FACTS. Our re-enrollment period occurs during the first two weeks of February.

  2. Acceptance: Upon your re-enrollment at Tampa Bay International School, you will be invited to complete the Enrollment Contract and submit your deposit to secure your child’s space for the upcoming school year.

“This is the school I always dreamed of. It didn’t exist, so I opened it. I felt a calling to do something positive to change the world. I wanted a Spanish immersion school because fluency in more than one language is a 21st century skill that all students need to acquire. I wanted a small school, because I believe that small schools are best positioned to nurture and challenge students in ways that are impossible to do in larger schools.”

— Bennett Zamoff, Head of School
