In middle school, math instruction is led by a dedicated subject-specific teacher who specializes in adolescent learners. Our primary resource is Eureka Math, a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum also used by leading bilingual schools. Students are grouped by performance level, not grade, and may move between 6th, 7th, or 8th grade modules depending on their readiness. Algebra is also offered for students who demonstrate high mathematical aptitude and a readiness to study the subject. Eureka’s materials are available in English and Spanish, and teachers supplement with customized content to challenge and support students as needed. Small group instruction (4–9 students) ensures a high level of individual attention. Optional tutoring is available after school hours for students needing additional support at $55 per hour and $35 per half hour.
